Reverie

Williamsburg · New York City, New York Independent

Reverie is a vegan restaurant and cocktail bar on Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg, the first Brooklyn location from City Roots Hospitality, led by chef Guy Vaknin. Its globally inspired sharing plates name allergen ingredients in dish descriptions, including cashew ricotta, pine nuts, Marcona almonds, hazelnuts, black and toasted sesame, tahini and a sake-soy reduction. Each of its published menus — dinner, brunch and bar — closes by asking guests to inform their server of any allergies or intolerances. The documented protocol is that order-flagging instruction; the menus do not publish item-level allergen labels.
